Carol: Healed of a back injury

I was in a car wreck several years ago that left me with a back injury. My back would flare up from time to time. It flared up in April of this year and none of the normal measures that I used in the past would fix it - not pain meds, not the chiropractor, nor physical therapy. So, the doctors told me that my only choice was surgery to kill the nerves from lumbar 4-7 which is where most of my pain was.

On Friday, 8/28/09, I went to the surgeon's office and met with him. During that meeting, I was unable to bend backwards or forwards for him; he then told me that he would schedule surgery for the coming Monday, 8/31/09, at 8 am.

On Sunday, 8/30/09, I came to the healing service at New Beginnings Healing Center. Due to my past church experiences, I no longer believed in supernatural healing so I prayed and asked the Lord to help my unbelief so that I could believe. I came in and sat in the back of the church. As Pastor Jonathan Miller was talking, he went to the same scripture about "Lord help my unbelief to believe." He said God was healing people and right about that time I felt a heaviness come upon me. Tears began to run down my cheeks but I did not know why I was crying. I sat there in my seat until the service was over and then got in my car to go home. I did not feel any pain when I sat in the car but I told myself that was not real. When I got home, my daughter, who is a Registered Nurse, asked me "how is your pain?" I told her "I don't have any." She said "God healed you!" I was still doubtful so I said, "I don't know, it looks like it."

The next day, on Monday morning, my daughter drove me to surgery. They gave me medication to make me drowsy. The doctor walked in before the surgery and asked me what level was my pain today on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the worst. I told him zero. I told him that I had no pain because I went to this church yesterday that had a healing service and God healed me. The doctor then stated "it is the drugs; she doesn't know what she is talking about." So my daughter told him, "No, she came home yesterday from church and has had no pain since then." I then asked the doctor to help me stand up because of how sleepy I was and then I bent over, touched my toes and bent backwards to show him. I told him, "See, I could not do this before." The doctor then canceled the surgery. He told my daughter to take me home and once I got over the drowsiness, I should try to do all the things I could not do before. He told her that "when" the pain comes back, she can bring me back to the hospital and he will do the surgery.

Well, since then, I have cleaned my garage, spring cleaned the house, flew to California, and picked up my luggage myself to the point that my other daughter was shocked because this was the first time she was seeing me since my healing.
